Year 6 France Trip 2023

Forty-two lucky Year Six children spent last weekend in France. We took a coach to Dover and a ferry across the English Channel on a beautiful sunny day. We then spent three days on the northern French coast, exploring local towns, playing on the beach, swimming in the sea and practising our French. We also learnt about local baking techniques in a traditional boulangerie!  Mr Pear, Ms Whiwam, Ms Robinson and Ms Duggan also had a fantastic time and felt that the children were all a credit to Cubitt Town Primary School, treating one another and their teachers with care and respect.

One of the children, Abdul-Hai, wrote this about his experience "Our weekend in France was sensational. My personal highlight was having fun on the beach. I loved the time with my friends at the hostel and also our treasure hunt around St Omer. The most delicious food I ate was the ice cream in Le Touquet. The ferry journey was beyond anything I had ever experienced, because of the sheer size of it. Overall I would recommend this trip to everyone and I now want to explore the world!"
