School Uniform
We expect all children to wear uniform to show their pride in being a member of the school community. The Cubitt Town Primary School uniform has been chosen for comfort, smartness and easy care.
Children must wear school uniform every day. This includes blue jumpers or sweatshirts. Hoodies, or tops in other colours, are not acceptable and cannot be worn in school. For safety reasons children must wear closed shoes or trainers every day. These can be black, white or navy.
Jewellery must not be worn in school with the exception of flat-faced, non-Smart watches, and small stud earrings. Hoop or drop earrings will be removed as they are not considered safe when children use our play and sports equipment.
Children must not wear make up or nail polish to school.
Hair that falls below the shoulders needs to be tied up, for safety reasons.
If your child does swimming as part of their PE lessons they must bring their swimming costume and towel on the day of their swimming lesson. Any child who does not bring theirs will be given a school costume to wear.
Girls
- Navy blue skirt, pinafore dress or trousers
- While polo shirt or blouse
- Navy blue cardigan, jumper or sweatshirt
- White socks or black/navy tights
- Children should wear trainers every day, as we do the daily mile. Trainers should be black, white or navy.
Boys
- Black/Navy blue trousers or plain navy blue tracksuit bottoms
- White polo/cotton shirt
- Navy blue cardigan, jumper or sweatshirt
- White/black socks

Physical Education
- Navy blue shorts
- White T-shirt or house colours which can be purchased from the school office
- Black plimsolls or trainers
- In colder weather children are allowed to wear black or navy leggings and tracksuit bottoms
Swimming
- Girls: one-piece swimsuit, swimming hat and towel
- Boys: swimming shorts or trunks above the thigh, swimming hat and towel
Buying your child's school uniform
We understand that school uniform is an additional expense for our families, and because of this, we do not require any of your child's uniform to be branded with the school logo. Some branded items are available from the school office (see list below), however children can wear non-branded items, and these can be purchased at the local Asda store or from any retailer of children's school clothing.
